Our Purpose
To Proclaim the “Good News” of Jesus Christ as Missionary Disciples of a Prophetic and Compassionate Parish, nourished by the Word of God and the Eucharist, enlightened by the Gospel Principle of a preferential option for those most in need, as we journey towards the definitive “Kingdom of God.”
We are located right on the edge of the busy A40, Eastbound: its six lanes of polluting noise and dirt in sharp contrast with the peace and tranquillity of the Church. In a way, this contrast is symbolic of the role of the Church in the community as a sign of God’s presence among us.
The size of our Church and its peculiar location can be deceptive to the passer-by, for very few can imagine how busy and active our parish is. Today we have a cosmopolitan congregation of about 400 parishioners who come to Mass each Sunday representing practically every nation of the world.
- Parish Priest: Fr. Peter Shekelton
